This is a question I often ask myself now that I'm no longer working. Is this really me being lazy? Or am I just doing what I want to do in the moment? Don't get me wrong, when something needs to be done, I do it. I'm not advocating letting the dishes pile up (at least not for more than a half day or so), nor am I saying put off what you should be doing so you can sit around doing nothing.
Today was a day that did not see much accomplished. I just wasn't feelin' it if you know what I mean. I finally went out and transplanted some of the seedlings simply because I was tired of looking at the jungle that was residing on the dining room table. I also was quite entertained by our acrobatic dancing cat.
But, more than anything, I got a bit of motivation because of our little mud swallows... They're still bringing in stuff to fill their recently-completed nest -here, they've begun adding dried grass & other such materials to the lining of the nest - that's the end of a grass stem (complete with seeds) sticking out of the top left of the nest:
We did have a little excitement - when the CHP "escorted" an oversize load through town.... Yep, we live in the country, 'cause THIS is exciting!!!
I'm not precisely sure WHAT this was, but it was BIG.... maybe the dump part of a dump truck?
And then of course, the cat brought me back to the "tasks that need doing" mindset, when she attempted to escape - the grass is always greener, right?
Poor Camper, he was not sure what just happened, but he knew for sure, the cat was FREE!!!
However, once she WAS out, she was immediately ready to come back in. And now, she's grounded.
Ad would you look at that??? The grass WAS greener on the other side of the wall!
